to Mrs. Kennedy's Class! She is very excited that you will be
spending the next year with her. Together the class will
achieve extraordinary highs!
Mrs.
Kennedy has been a resident of Cobb County over 30 years. She
attended Dodgen Middle School, Dickerson Middle School and graduated
from Walton High School. She holds an undergraduate degree
from the University
of Georgia and
Masters degrees in Science and Social Studies from
Kennesaw
State University
and Educational Leadership
from
University of West Georgia. Her teaching experience spans over
20 years. She has been an
eighth grade science teacher, program developer for the Extended
Enrichment Initiative program, an Instructional Lead Teacher,
an Instructional Technology Specialist, and a 4th grade teacher.
Mrs. Kennedy has
been nominated for several awards including Teacher of the Year, GSTA Science Teacher of the Year, and Apple Distinguished Educator.
Mrs. Kennedy is married with two daughters one who attends Ford
Elementary School and another who attends Durham Middle School. In her spare
time she enjoys her family, friends, gardening, technology, and playing
tennis.
