POSITIVE REWARDS FROM THE RAINFOREST

Dear Journal,

Ms.Dunbar , my assistant, and I ,Dr.Smith, have come to the rainforest looking for amazing goods that come from the rainforest.  We have found rubber , and some fabric.  We think it might come in handy.
   Dear journal,
We have found some more goods in the north.  These are the goods we have found :  old bottles , and a rainforest leaf.  Ms. Dunbar said we could use it for an umbrella.  (she is pretty smart)  We have gone south to look for interesting foods to eat. I have tried to get some bananas off the tree but they are to high.  We tried standing on each other's shoulders.  Later we found some brazil nuts lower down.
     Dear journal,
I  have had a tiring trip down south.  Ms.Dunbar has not had anything to eat for 5 hours!  We think we have found a lost village.  Ms. Dunbar tries to talk to the Chief but he doesn't understand us.  then Ms. Dunbar remembers a book about their language.  She says "Can we have some of your food?"  They gave us a feast.  Some of the things they gave us were banana, mimosa fruits , cocoa beans , coffee beans , and brazil nuts.  Ms. Dunbar says it was delicious.

Dear journal,
The tribe gave us a monkey teeth necklace , a feather hat , and a bamboo stick.  It might come in handy.  They started to cry because we had to leave.  I did too.
Dear journal,
We were going to the river's edge and saw two other scientists.  They say that they were watching nature too.  We found a piece of paper on the ground.  It read cat's claw vine una de gato.  There was another piece under it .  It read EAST VILLAGE.    So we started  heading east.
   Dear journal,
We have traveled east for three days and still nothing.  I looked at the compass and it read south east.  We started to head the real east.  I found footprints and that means we are close.  When we got there we saw teepees lots of teepees.  I saw a man dressed different from the others.  Ms. Dunbar looked in the book and read  medicine man .  She read if a medicine man dies without passing down his information it is like losing a library.  We slept behind the bushes so nobody would see us.
Dear journal,
We have gone to the village and asked about the Cat's Claw Vine.  Of course they didn't understand us so  we looked in the book.  I realized that the piece of paper I found was    from the book.  Jaguars must have attacked when we were sleeping.  So that is why the pages were ragged.
 Dear journal,
I woke and found my journal gone!  I found it half an hour later.  It was a gloomy site.  ALL of the pages were ripped in the corners.  The cover was ripped on the spine half way down!  I guess the jaguars attacked again.
Dear journal,
We have decided to end our journey.  But before we left Ms .Dunbar found the page of the book. BYE!
